Have a fabulous, wonderful, happy, healthy, fun, imaginative, explorative and inspiring New Year, everyone.
This year, NYE will be different, once again. A new chapter has started for me, here in Hampshire. Last year saw me dancing throughout New Year’s night in Margate, this year … who knows?
Remember, life’s about living, not looking back. Understanding yes, but using that knowledge for the present and future. No regrets, no ‘what ifs’ just live your life to the fullest and enjoy those precious moments. They can be a shared coffee, a special moment or an understanding look, a recognition of souls or just being open and appreciative, happy with who you are and where you are. Be the best you and be confident in who you are. Demand to be accepted for you just being you.
Life’s about living. Live it, dance, sing, discover, be curious and take those opportunities, the journeys into the unknown to enrich yourself and learn and grow.
Or, in the words of Neil Gaiman, go and make mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Happy New Year!
“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.
So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”
